Sheraton Colonial Hotel

We were sent here by the airline due to a late night missed connection. Everything near the airport was sold out. Room was in serious need of maintemance, wallpaper lifting in corners, obvious water damage by the window and doorframe to bethroom. Mold stains in bathtub area. The bed was old. While clean, the bedding was in poor shape ( I could see see light through the comforter). Renovations in progress. Not my choice, not again.

The rooms were very small and had not been cleaned well. There were mice droppings in the closet, which was gross. The bathroom didn’t have any ventilation, so after showers EVERYTHING was covered in condensation, including the ceilings, floors, toilet paper, other towels. Beds were comfortable and staff was polite. Wouldn’t stay here again, but location is desirable .

Paid in advance on Booking.com. Very disappointed. Pic on website are not true to reality of the room. 4x4m box, shower door would not close and seal (water all over floor), TV died after about 15mins (no signal), black mould on ceiling in shower and room above tv, security light above door turned on 3 times first night, once second night and although the bed was comfortable the base squeaked and creaked with every move...staff tried to assist but I guess to a large degree....little they could do...a Sheraton.....I don't think so...appalling. Cheap hotels at around 70€ a night near Marseille airport provide better rooms and service...I paid 320€!!!!!!
