Clarion Hotel & Conference Center

Wow! Lower your expectations for sure. This hotel was run down and dirty. Our room smelled and had ants and gnats. I didn’t complain about that at all but did go to the front desk to be someone to sweep or vacuum. The floor was filthy - dead and live bugs, dust bunnies, hair, and construction dirt. Nobody ever came to sweep. The hot tub was broken. The sheets were clean at least, but we had to wear shoes the whole time. Yuck

Deeply disappointing experience during an already difficult time. My husband booked a room here at $95/night while visiting his niece, who was hospitalized after a serious car accident. When a concert came into town, the hotel told him he'd have to pay $700/night to stay through the weekend or leave, with zero willingness to make an exception given the circumstances. No flexibility, no compassion, just a hard line dictated by surge pricing. He ended up having to drive hours back and forth instead of being able to stay near his family during an emergency. If you're looking for a hotel that treats guests like people instead of profit margins, look elsewhere.

a few good things - Breakfast, Working AC and Television, good prices at the bar. Bad things include no room service. My travel partner had to go to the front desk and ask for new towels. Light coming into the room from the gaps above the front door, making sleep difficult. The hair drier had a very sticky handle and I had to use something to cover it with. The bathroom is miniscule and when you turn the light on a filter or something comes on and can wake up anyone who may be seeping. Plus, they put a $50 hold on your credit card for any room damage. My bill was 309.33 rather than the $260.03 that it was supposed to be.
