Lamp Post Inn

This place is nearly uninhabitable. The pictures posted by the property are not reality. It must have been a long time since it was inspected. Water stains and peeling paint on the ceiling. Linens were stained. Mold on the walls. Blinds from floor to ceiling were falling apart and didn’t close to keep the exterior fluorescent lights from shining in. I will say one positive: it was quiet. See pictures for a good representation of what we experienced.

DO NOT STAY HERE AT ANY COST! My partner and I had an awful experience at this place and feel obligated to warn others. First, this is misrepresented as a hotel when it is a poorly maintained motel. Second, the cleanliness of this motel is worse than terrible and deserves 0/5 stars. There was significant mold present on the AC unit, lampshade, and shower/bathroom area. Was then shown another room after bringing this to the attention of the staff but there was mold in this room as well. There were also MULTIPLE cigarette burns on both comforters and sheets despite a “no smoking policy”. The front desk staff acts friendly but negates to tell you all the SERIOUS flaws. Ended up not staying a single night and my partner, who made the booking, was told she would receive a full refund for the additional night booked, but of course, the next day she was told “this was no longer possible to do”. I can’t emphasize it enough: DO NOT STAY HERE

Very, very worn and tired, not updated. Not at all “quaint.”Carpet in the room felt gross. Nothing seemed very clean. Bathroom had rust stains and tub had seen much, much better days. Stairwells were dirty and stained. Moldy bread at breakfast.
