Comfort Suites Lakeside

Under the new ownership of this hotel our stay was the worst experience we have ever experienced there. We have been coming here for years. We live hours away and when we arrived we were told we didn't have reservations for the full week that we booked a year ago. They could only accommodate 4 days instead of our 8 day stay cause they had a wedding coming in. I had my confirmation email and made them aware of hotel walk laws. The manager Amanda was very rude especially after I told her another employee told me that they must of missed inputting our reservation into their new system. Amanda continued to blame me and tell me I was out of luck and walked away and would not try to help me. I was stuck with a family of 4 not knowing where we would go being a holiday week. After day 3 of it being very stressful the hotels sales team called and said they had a cancelation and we could stay our full time amount of original booking. This ruined half our trip. And then the wedding came. There is no dedicated spot for just weddings. There were rows and rows on chairs right in front of our patio. Making it very inconvenient to enjoy the lake or beach chairs. This took most of the day on july 4th. Very disappointing stay and rude management. After coming here for years we no longer will book at this hotel. Waste of money and spoiled our only vacation of the year. And talking with other guest on the beach they were experiencing the same rude treatment. Renovations were nice and they are done doing them but service is way more important.

We booked almost every room they had for a work conference. They did a great job getting everyone checked in. Their conference room space and banquet space was great. Many from our group enjoyed their bar and grill as well. Rebecca was their Event Person and she was super easy to work with.

I booked a room at Lakeside Resort & Conference Center for the night of my wedding, hoping for a peaceful and memorable experience. Unfortunately, the hotel experienced a power outage during our stay, which resulted in no electricity or running water. This was especially difficult given the significance of the occasion. I reached out to the hotel multiple times over the following weeks to inquire about a refund. Each time, I was told that “the manager will be in touch,” but I never received any follow-up. After nearly a month, I was informed that no refund would be issued due to the outage being beyond their control. While I understand that unexpected events can happen, I was disappointed by the lack of communication and support during and after our stay. For a property that promotes itself as a venue for weddings and conferences and excellent service, I expected a higher level of responsiveness and hospitality. If you're planning a special event or simply looking for a reliable overnight stay, I recommend considering other options. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.
