Very nice staff. Samantha was friendly, welcoming and helpful. She even gave us candy at checkout. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Maids missed a plastic wrapper wedged between the mattress and wall.

⁶I have been staying at the Travelodge in Hudsonville MI for about a week, and I purposely waited to write this review so I could see how things ran day to day. After being here for an extended stay, I can genuinely say this is a great place to stay. The hotel is affordable, comfortable, convenient, and tucked away on quiet Corporate Grove just off the highway. Meijer is only a couple of blocks away, there are trails nearby, and everything you need is close without feeling like you’re in the middle of a busy commercial area. What really separates this Travelodge from other hotels is the team running it. I’m currently going through cancer treatment, traveling with my service dog, and staying in a hotel long term, so having people who actually listen and understand my situation has meant a great deal. The owner personally took time to hear my needs and work out an extended-stay plan and rate that made things manageable. What impressed me just as much is how well everything is communicated throughout the staff. I don’t have to keep explaining my situation or reminding different people. Everyone seems to be on the same page. Samantha, the general manager, deserves special recognition. She’s the definition of a hands-on manager, checking in with genuine care, paying attention to what guests need, and leading by example. I saw her grab a vacuum herself and clean the hallway while showing me a room. And although she manages a smaller hotel, her professionalism is big league. Without question, I believe she could walk into a ten-story, five-star hotel in Las Vegas tomorrow and run it with the same confidence, attention to detail, leadership, and care. Her ability isn’t defined by the size of this property. Put her in a larger operation, and I truly believe she would handle it like just another day at work. Layla at the front desk brings another kind of warmth. She’s professional, kind, and attentive. It’s more than ordinary small talk. She listens and remembers. The whole team communicates and gels naturally. These ladies are absolute pros. For an affordable hotel, I honestly did not expect this level of personal attention, professionalism, and hospitality. This place really is a hidden gem in Hudsonville. I would recommend this Travelodge over any hotel in the area because it gives you something that’s hard to find at this price: a great stay, a great location, and people who genuinely care. Five stars, no hesitation.
