I'd probably score this hotel lower, but the lovely front desk staff have me scoring in higher. Each person I encountered was midwest-style-friendly. Very kind and helpful. The hotel itself is really in need of a facelift. The room was clean, but well worn. Clearly the hotel caters to masses of families with children and that type of wear and tear is obvious. The linens on the bed and in the bath are well worn. A few towels should be promoted to the rag pile. The room was refreshed once during our stay and we found the two replacement towels both very damp. (Clearly removed from the dryer too early and the room attendant did not consider returning them back to the laundry room.). Breakfast in the morning was OK at best. There are lots of bread options, but some of those choices were very dried out. The sausage and boiled eggs are fine. The only fruit options were applesauce or a banana. Most unfortunate is that we booked this hotel in order to enjoy the W/P and sauna. Upon our arrival we went down to use the facilities and found both not working (in fact there was algae growing in the W/P). When we asked we were told they were out indefinitely. The next day I asked if repairs were made and was told yes. The W/P looked functional, but when we tested the water it was tepid and not hot. The sauna remained dysfunctional. In the future I will stay at a different hotel.

We stayed here two nights as we wanted to spend an entire day at Mackinac Island and this was the best way to do that. Although it was pricey, mainly because we were in the heart of tourist season, it was a decent place to stay. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was within a stone's throw of Mackinac Bridge, which we could see from our room. The free breakfast was typical of hotel inclusives. My only real complaint was that there were two brew type coffee machines (not Keurig) and it was a chore to get a cup of coffee. With the number of people, this was unfortunate. It was excellent coffee, but I don't expect a barista experience in a hotel breakfast area. There was a gentleman keeping tabs on the breakfast area keeping items in stock, with the exception of the oatmeal, which was done before breakfast hours were over, in fact about 45 minutes. Overall a good experience. Across the street was a family type restaurant where we dined one evening. If you like to walk, this hotel is about one half to 3/4 of a mile to the downtown area which has plenty of touristy type eateries, bars, and souveneir shops.

Omg where do i start! Looks great on outside we had the best 1 bedroom suite available with a view (small) thought it had kitchen—-nope it did not! View of lake was ok. Price for what you got NO! Right by the bridge and the loudest inside hotel we have ever EVER stayed in——paper thin walls. The room next door - we heard their entire conversation about their dinner and how bad it was, to every plan they had for today. There was only 1 elevator and it was at one end of the hotel. Been here, done that and NEVER EVER again.....................It literally like we were sleeping on HWY 75........BECAUSE we WERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Value No Location No Price high Inside ok Outside nice
