BAY VIEW TERRACE INN

Enjoyed a two night stay last week. Our first visit to the area. Room was beautiful, overlooking the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Lunch was very good - try the cherry soup and whitefish burgers.

The hotel is simply beautiful! We loved our stay. The room ( we had a suite was gorgeous) just wished the fireplace turned on. It got chilly at night. Very clean room, lots of towels and the bathtub was amazing. We also would of liked a coffee pot in the room, the rooms don’t have coffee machines or a fridge) also.. the rooms don’t have t .v’s in them. they provided coffee downstairs with “ glass cups” which was nice, we sat in front porch in rocking chairs drinking coffee. The staff was wonderful. I must note they did have a refreshment are in the floors with a large screen tv and plenty of books and board games. We didn’t miss not having a tv in our room. We never ate in the restaurant, although I’ve heard it’s very good. We ate at local places in Petoskey and Indian River. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. It reminded us of the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island.

Horrible experience. Googled the hotel name to make a reservation. I was offered a web site to Reservation Stays (looked and acted like I was on the Hotel Direct Website!) The reservation inadvertently was made for the wrong month. Despite multiple emails and phone calls I'm out over $800 and never even stayed here. Hopefully my credit card company will let me dispute charges.
