CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL MPLS/ST PAUL ARPT-MALL OF AMER

No exterior branding, high weeds, no cars in the parking lot, front door locked, rude desk clerk. This property is in extreme disrepair. Not one sign on the exterior indicated that the building was even a hotel, let alone a Ramada. I drove away thinking GPS had misdirected me. On the second try, I pressed the call button and got buzzed in. The desk clerk bluntly told me to return at check-in time (3 pm) even though it was 2:30 and the place was obviously empty. I am eligible for early check-in, but I was too intimidated to point that out. I left and didn't return.

I had been in Minneapolis for three weeks on business. I had to check out of my hotel for the weekend due to a large event in town. I pre-booked two nights at the Ramada by Wyndham Minneapolis. On Friday I had to work late so I called for a late check-in. I was then informed that I would not be able to check into the hotel because they were not taking guests Due to the hotel being under construction and no hot water. I was then stuck with finding another room on Friday night with highly inflated prices for the weekend. This matter could’ve easily been avoided had somebody taken proper steps to do their job. I should’ve never been allowed to book this room. No responsibility was taken from the hotel or Priceline.

This place should not even be taking reservations. It’s terrifying when you pull into the parking lot. It’s all overgrown and hasn’t been mowed in forever. There are no cars in the parking lot and there’s no working pool, cable, etc. I canceled the minute I saw it. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this property.
