Best Western Regency Plaza Hotel St. Paul / Oakdale

The front desk staff I worked with at both check-in and check-out were professional. While I am not sure of the age of the property, it appears that it has been well-maintained over the years. They have a continental breakfast, consisting of waffles and rotating selection of hot items (I stayed multiple nights, and there were different hot items each day). The location is near the Interstate, however it is off along a wooded area. There are several restaurants in the area.

Nice large clean room, only a couple reasons for the 4 stars rather than 5. 1. The satellite tv connection was poor all night long 2. The floor of the bathtub was slippery and accident waiting to happen. 3. breakfast was the usual bland scrambled eggs and tan colored sausages. Unfortunately this is the common breakfast offered at most economy hotels these days. We opted to go out to a local restaurant instead. The hotel is located close to our daughter's home so we likely return perhaps for a better experience in the future.

Family got three rooms! Took about 20 minutes to check in! Front deck mentioned that no food was to be brought into the rooms. Breakfast each morning was almost empty, and it seems that someone wasn't around to cook more. Eggs were way over cooked. Exercise room had broken machines. The parking lot was full of large holes. Took some looking to find a news channel other than CNN! Especially a local one. The only plus was the rooms were clean! Plenty of towels. I would not recommend this location.
