They are not paying sufficient attention to details. I am prepared for one thing to be wrong in a room. It happens. But they had two major maintenance problems and a third more minor one. Worse, they had no creativity in solving problems. The tub drain was barely draining and it was bad enough that housekeeping should have caught it. (And it made me wonder how clean the tub actually was.) The message light on the phone kept blinking and the desk staff said he didn't know how to fix it. I asked for tape so I could paper it over as it would blink in my eyes at night. He had trouble finding the tape (but my husband figured out where the phone unplugged so we "fixed" it that way.) Also, the bulb on the lamp near my side of the bed was out. The bed was okay. The breakfast was fine. The guy on the desk was sweet if a bit clueless (and he was on until 11 one night and from 7 the next morning so it may be a staffing issue.)

Our first stay here and the hotel is newer and very clean. Rooms are spacious with nice furnishings. Plenty of plugins and USB ports. Slippery shower floor so be careful. The breakfast needs work. Powdered eggs and no meat. Plenty of other choices though

There are other places in town to stay...explore your options. Room was supposed to be ready at 3pm. When we arrived at 4pm it was not ready. We were in town for a wedding so we wanted to get settled before heading to the rehearsal. Very inconvenient. Room was dirty. And I mean DIRTY! Gross. Not worth the money. I chose this hotel because of name recognition. I'm a Marriott girl, but there are no Marriott's in Red Wing.
