Residence Inn Rochester Mayo Clinic Area

If you have a need for a long-term stay for the Methodist Campus at the Mayo Clinic, the Residence Inn by Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area run by the Kahler Hospitality Group (KHG) is the premier choice. First and foremost are the staff, notably the friendly, energetic, and affable Dan Knoke, Director of Rooms. The Residence Inn by Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area and their staff have to deal with things and needs few hotels anywhere else in the world need to. They rise to the occasion and do it with heart and friendliness. Their Hospitality and warmth are memorable. Beyond the staff, you will surely appreciate the five-minute walk in the connected, climate-controlled tunnel to the Charleton, Eisenberg, Gonda, or Mayo buildings. So, whether it is 95° F and humid, pouring rain, or freezing with driving snow, you'll be dry and comfortable. Similarly, you are a close walk to the convenient West Parking garage, should there not be room in the ground-level parking at Residence Inn by Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area. Having stayed there for a full-month, I appreciated their ample, and well-stocked workout room; took full and near-daily advantage of their outdoor grills and grill tools (I think I established a reputation as "grill master" while there); and really appreciated the on-site laundry. The rooms are clean, functional, modern, and comfortable. Speaking of which, whether it is hot or cold outside, the in room HVAC system will keep you cool or warm, as-needed. Our extended family had a room with a fireplace, which heated things up--quickly! Some minor nits worth mentioning, one of which they should really update on their web site so the photos do not mislead (which happened to us): the one-bedroom units do NOT have a full kitchen, despite the pictures. The one-bedroom units have ONLY a smaller microwave and a small, two burner electric/glass cooktop. There is NO oven. From what we learned from the aforementioned extended family member: ONLY the two-bedroom units seem to have a full four-burner electric/glass range and a full-size microwave. Beyond that, the in-room couches are not terribly comfortable for sitting and, at least in our 7th floor room (709), nearly all of the windows seals were broken, resulting in fogged panes that made it difficult to see outside and, in particular, watch the Mayo $5B ts Bold. Forward. Unbound. construction project happening all around. Those minor nits aside, if you need a long-term stay at Mayo Clinic, the Residence Inn by Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area is an easy recommendation.

I’m here for extensive appointments at the Mayo Clinic; the location is ideal, & the staff is fantastic.. particularly Cheryl who provides exceptional breakfast experience, & Kelly, who manages the desk & much more! Highly recommended.

Cheryl and Clayton do a wonderful job on breakfast, they were both very nice and helpful during our stay a the Residence inn in Rochester, Mn.
