GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel- Saint Cloud

This hotel is far from an "8" rating. I would say more like a 4. The room smelled musty and like someone had smoked weed in it. Freezer was left open and there was a build up of ice in it, in which my friend defrosted and wiped it out. The trash can in the bedroom had an empty bottle of energy drink in it. We had no body wash or bath mat, had to call Down to desk at 2am to have them bring both up, as we had recently just got back to our room. No extra pillows in room. We also called down for clean sheet as being that garbage want emptied we questioned weather the sheet in the couch had actually been changed. The furniture in room and in lobbied were very dirty and stained. Now about the breakfast. The waffle batter you could tell was water down as was very runny and people ahead of us, including us had difficulty making the waffles, person ahead of me, said he sprayed the waffle maker very well and he had to scrape it off of the pan and the pink. Thewaffle was actually looked like it needed about twice as much better in it so when I made mine. I made sure that I cleaned out extra left behind batter that was in the machine and sprayed both of the griddles generously. Pour my mix into the waffle maker I checked it probably a minute and mine looked like the gentleman's did ahead of a bee, so I went ahead and I added another half a cup of the which made it look more like a regular waffle would look like but when it was done, I also had trouble getting it out of the pan. I've never had this problem at any other hotel that I stayed at? Also the whipping cream was out on the counter when a clearly states that it needs to be refrigerated or kept cool. I'm sure it was out since breakfast started at six or 630. The eggs were empty. The sausage was empty. There was very few pieces of ham in the warming pan. There were no knives which made itvery difficult to cut the waffle. I don't blame the girl that was working behind the counter about things that being restarted as she was busy, people out or checking people in and also had to take care of the breakfast area, which wasn't really fair to her. She'd bring a a pan of new eggs out and within a couple minutes, they were gone again as the pan that the eggs were in were very small andbeing that the hotel was fully booked. Someone should've realized that they need to either staff enough people to manage the breakfast area or put the eggs in larger warming pan. I am very glad that I did not pay $165 plus tax for a night when I called in to book the room as that's what I was quoted, I told the girl at the time no I will book it online on Expedia because it was $121 including tax and she just said OKshe didn't offer to honor the price or things so I don't really even think that this hotel was worth $121 a night as to me it was like at once one star hotel as it was very rundown in my opinion and there's absolutely no excuse for not being sure that all the garbage cans the room are emptied before new customers stay in the room and that the soaps, lotions shampoo, etc. should also be refilled or at least checked to be shared. There is adequate supply left in the bottles before before, the room is given to another customer. I also noticed that in the elevator, the hand sanitizer dispenser the top of it was just filthy. It may be what a gag. I don'tthink I will be staying at this hotel anytime soon again..

Family was in town for the weekend, and we reserved two rooms for three nights. We selected this location due to its proximity to relatives we were visiting. As an added benefit, the price was competitive and we had access to a full kitchen, so it seemed like a good deal all around. The room was clean. There were several small things that showed a lack of attention to detail (e.g., no shower gel, no hand soap, no forks in the kitchen, no coffee mugs in the kitchen, and one room had no bath towels). There were also a few items that showed maintenance was needed (e.g., seal on freezer was worn so it leaked onto the kitchen floor, and in one room the thermostat would never cool to the selected temperature). Additionally, on the weekend we stayed, there were numerous instances of loud hallway noise (e.g., children yelling and, more concerningly, adults having screaming verbal arguments that had us worried about leaving our room). We've stayed at this hotel in the past but, regrettably, I will pay more in the future to stay at a hotel that is properly maintained and where I feel safe.

This hotel is close to the convention center but not close enough for anyone with mobility issues to walk. Booked a 2BR/1B room which was clean with a nice space but a few things make this hotel just "average". First, the HVAC system was really loud - when it comes on, you can't hear the TV or average conversation. Secondly, the weird drapery-like "comfortlette" on the beds is a strange fabric that doesn't look or feel like it belongs there. Third, the bedrooms have glass paned doors which means you don't really have privacy - maybe that is what parents with kids want? Finally, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty or not working. These are pretty easy fixes that would make this a better experience.
