Wingate by Wyndham Gulfport MS

This hotel is located along the main drag a little west of downtown and you just have to walk across the road to the beach. The lobby is on the second floor, the ground level is all parking. I arrived on a miserably rainy cold day, but was greeted by the friendliest staff I've ever had checking into a hotel. They apologized that they couldn't give me a fourth floor room, but gave me one on the third floor away from the elevator. I found the room to be clean, comfortable and it had a great view of the beach even though it wasn't ocean front. It was quiet except for the obnoxious woman across the hall who spent the early hours of the evening screaming/swearing at her young child (with her room door open) and letting the girl run rampant up and down the hallway. Shame on this woman for not having manners and setting a terrible example for her child. I did not complain to the desk since it was before the quiet hours and frankly, it's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was excellent and included eggs/sausage/biscuits/gravy, juice/coffee, etc., and the best cinnamon rolls! I enjoyed sitting at the table facing the beach and watching the sun rise. The only reason I didn't give this an excellent review is because the laundry machines were out of order. When I'm on long road trips, I count on hotels with self service laundry at my halfway point so I can refresh all my clothes. Fortunately, there was a great laundromat (Sudsational) two blocks away to accommodate me. I felt safe as a solo here and would definitely stay again.

Great hotel! We traveled in to attend a family wedding weekend. The hotel was clean, modern, and the staff are amazing! We usually stay at Marriott properties, but will consider jumping ship now. Wonderful experience!

Three seniors citizen ladies stayed here for two nights. We were greeted by Paulette. She was very kind, friendly and informative. We loved your hotel
