ECONO LODGE VICKSBURG

Despite many reviews saying this place was ok since the remodeling it wasn't. In fact this was the second choice motel I stayed at on this trip that was falling apart. The check in staff was nice (although he talked about getting arrested alot with the people in front of me) but it took almost 45 min to check in because they wanted to chat with the people in front of me. During that time my husband saw some sketchy stuff going down I the parking lot. Think two cars meeting exchanging stuff and then leaving, the room smelled mildewy and neither the bathroom light or the left bedside light worked. The tub and near the toilet was rusting through the "new paint" the shower head was as my husband put it "the same kind we had in our first home 26 years ago." The air conditioner worked and the bed was clean. THERE IS NO BREAKFAST OR POOL. that needs to be taken off of their website.

Room was good enough for overnight stay with dogs ($10 each). About a ten minute drive to downtown. Juice and coffee in the lobby. Green space for dogs was a short walk to the entrance of the fenced lot. Room was a little dark. Had fridge and microwave.

I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge in Vicksburg, MS, and overall, it was a positive experience. The room had a lingering smell of smoke, which was a downside for a non-smoker like me. Additionally, being on the ground floor would have been preferable. However, aside from these issues, the stay was generally enjoyable, and I appreciated other aspects of the accommodations. If one thing is for sure, there is far less stress at Econo Lodge!
