Angel Inn

Affordable and a very comfortable and private room. We enjoyed our stay.

I’ve stayed here for several year with no complaints. I have never stayed at the lowest tier of rooms. I was in 408 & given this handicap room for some reason. I always pull back sheets & look around every hotel but saw nothing for an early evening arrival. Went to a show & pulled back the sheet to sit and read in bed & there was a bedbug! I never called the office that night as all parking was full. I would have slept in my car but summer heat was awful. I endured about 4 hrs cat napping in the bed in fear & had one in my hair, a few hrs later near my feet. All total was 5! Put all in a coffee paper cup dead, took photos for future need. Next morning I complained at the front desk & she said Sam, the manager, was in a meeting but before a refund for the 2nd night stay, he would have to check the room! She took my info & still haven’t heard. I asked for trash bags for my luggage & was given sticky bags. I had a new car & didn’t want them in it & was so exhausted from no sleep, I just drove home 4 hours ruining my stay. Air conditioner was very noisy when it shut off, it shook the room. It was the night from hell. I’m very upset to be treated this way as she just kinda laughed it off like it happens with no apology which was disappointing. So is this a common complaint, that’s frightening! After 15 yrs of staying here I will now have to stay elsewhere. This was my 1st encounter with actual bedbugs & nearly a week later still have the heebie jeebies even though I scalded all my belongings. I clean for a living & this was awful. Shame on you.

Bed bug crawling on the bed when turned light on! Smash it a little grab the TV guide paper and took it straight to the office to the manger. He agreed it was a bed bug, we walked back to the room, Sam the manger looked the bed over and end table on the left side, head board and offered us another room. I'm like I'm not staying here. Or in another room. Me and Sam the manger went back to the office and Sam said he would give me a complete refund when booking.com contacted him. Before I left I said I would book another room somewhere else, I was so freaked out we just drove back home, yes from Branson, MO to Stilwell, okla. We arrived home around 2:00 am in the morning. I don't take bed bugs as a joke, This was awful experience. Sam said I hope you'll give us another chance sometime. I just looked at him! I'll on that property in the future ever. This all happened do fast I didn't even get pictures in the room. Beware and becareful travelers!
