Comfort Inn West

We got to the hotel after a long day of travel and after helping us first with keys that didn't work, he helped us get a different room when the room we entered wasn't the one we reserved and paid for. Not Sam's fault...he gave us what his computer said, but he worked to find what was on our reservation email with a patient, kind spirit.

We were in a room were the refrigerator didn't work, the shower head sprayed all over the wall and it looked like it sprayed the ceiling tiles at some point, we could hear everything in the adjoining room since the door between us was a regular interior type door, there was hair in our bed when we pulled the sheets back on the first night, plus the sheet had some kind of stain on it, the floor in the bathroom was tacky feeling, the walls had big holes in them that needed patched, I was never informed about the indoor pool being out of service and we weren't able to swim, their "hot" complintary breakfast was a waffle or a breakfast sandwich you warmed up in the microwave, the remote to our tv would turn it on/off but that was all it did, it smelled like cigarette smoke in the room even though it is a smoke free room, the plaque for the room number was just a piece of paper that was taped over the original plaque that said it was a suite, and there was a tip envelope that didn't have anyones name on it in the room. When I was checking out I mentioned the refrigerator, the shower head, and the remote and all the kid said was "I'll tell the housekeeper". We stayed here around a year ago and it was nothing like this.

The main office, breakfast building, pool building, and hotel rooms are all in separate buildings which is new to me. The building and rooms are a little old but the family/staff that runs the Quality Inn are nice people.
