Super 8 Motel - Carthage

Stayed here as it was close to our softball team tourney. I don't need much, and the room met my simple needs. The family and employees that run it all were very friendly and attentive. No credit card deposit hold for the room. But if you are planning on a pool or hot tub, or breakfast - as advertised - you won't have any of that to any extent. Only fast food stuff around there, but a liquor store is about a minute away. Great location for tournaments very close. Don't expect a lot... but it's a place to stay. The room was fine.

The pros for this hotel were clean bedding and entrance. One complaint of this particular Super 8 was that we had to stay an extra night due to a car repair. In the evening we asked at the front desk if the rate would be the same for another night. He said because it was a Saturday it would $10. more. The following day when we checked out we were charged $22. Breakfast was minimal. Bagels, and hard boiled eggs that didn't look particularly fresh.
