TRAVELODGE COLUMBIA

I am writing on the behalf on my parents who had a reservation for the weekend of May 11 & 12th for my nieces graduation at Mizzou. Well first of all they were in line to check and the front desk clerk was nothing but a snot!!! She told my mother that she booked two rooms for two nights and that was untrue it was only her and my dad, why would she book two rooms?? They got their key and opened the door to find that the room stunk like mold and there was rust on the sheets along with torn curtains. The bathtub had big long crack in it and the vanity light above the sink did not work. The room next to them had a shattered window and the air conditioner was smashed. Regardless to say they turned around and told the desk clerk that they should be ashamed to rent these rooms to anyone and left! They refused to stay at that dump of a place and sounds like the health department needs to make a visit!!! Now.... they are going to have to fight I am sure to get their credit card reimbursed for the rooms that were not stayed in.

Rooms and facilities are a little dated, but they are clean and beds are comfy. Staff is very friendly and give you fresh baked cookies upon check in. For the price this is a good place to stay in Columbia.

First of all the room was supposed to be 55.00 plus tax well by the time they added a fee for my do ,a fee because I used a debit card my room was 100.00. Neat little scam they got going. Go to my first room, opened the door and immediately backed out....so gross and old and the smell would gag any human. So I go back down to the desk and tell her room is unacceptable, that I want a refund....she says she isn't authorized to issue a refund....have to wait till manager comes back tomorrow. So she says I can "upgrade" to a better room for 3.00 more..(it's a double room )..I say fine...I go to the 2nd room opened the door reeked of weed..curtains torn and falling down...so nasty I didn't even let my dog walk on the floor....(I have pictures) the music blaring and people hanging around outside my door drinking and smoking weed....well I think okay I just gotta suck it up...tried to turn on the Ac...it wouldn't work...called the front desk..she says to come down and she will give me a different room...now let me just say the phone in the room was so dirty I wouldn't touch it bare handed..so I end up back in the first room which is right on the interstate...very loud...but am stuck like chuck....we will see if I get the added fees credited back to my card....and if I get any sleep at all..sounds like the traffic is coming in my room
