Hampton Inn Joplin

We have stayed at this particular Hampton Inn several times; in general, it is very nice, with only a few details marring a perfect stay. The sliding barn-style bathroom door in our room did not close fully. There was no bedside clock provided; neither did the microwave have a clock on it (there should be one or the other, since not everyone has a cell phone). Our beds were a bit crunchy; the showerhead was mounted way too low on the tub wall and could not be adjusted at all. We don’t like how the bathroom opens right out to the beds (this is the only Hampton Inn we’ve seen with this setup). Otherwise, our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Our towels were nice and thick; the breakfast was tasty, with an attendant covering the buffet nicely.

No complaints. Friendly, clean rooms, nice shower that you don’t feel like you are going to slip and fall, good shower heads good breakfast slept great and I’m not an easy sleeper. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

This is not true of all Hampton - but this one is very clean. Check in was easy and our room was very clean. It did not have the usual funky smell you often find in hotels. The breakfast was what you would typically expect from a Hampton inn. We went down for breakfast close to the end of service and expected it to be picked over. We were surprised at how clean and fully stocked the breakfast buffet was. Our stay was brief but very comfortable.
