Sleep Inn Joplin

This hotel is just off I-44 next to a large truck stop. The rooms are a little tired but the service was fine. An OK place to spend a night on the road but nothing special.

We booked this stay on the fly, driving west thru Missouri on a Wednesday. The check in was easy and the desk person was very friendly. We took a room on the 2nd floor, as they do have an elevator. Very comfortable room with a king bed. The usual stuff included, microwave, fridge, hairdryer. The walk-in shower and toilet are separated by a door, but the sink and vanity area are not. No extra chair in the room for seating except the typical swivel office chair. Decent breakfast selection, including hot stuff like eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle maker. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, and it appears they take pride in their work, because the facility is well cared for and clean. Total price with taxes and fees was $122, which seemed very reasonable. If we get to Joplin again with the need for a stay, we would definitely try this Sleep Inn again.

Good lodging. Comfortable bed, great shower. Quiet, friendly staff. Very clean. Dog friendly with an extra charge but overall not expensive
