The Westin Crown Center Hotel

If I were still working this hotel would be just fine. For travelers and tourists, however, I’d probably not recommend. The pedestrian bridge to Union Station is closed for repair, and even there the options are meager. Crown Center closes at 6. So it seems downtown tourism is a thing of the past. The hotel itself is fine. The restaurant was surprisingly good . Rooms were fine. There’s a very large fitness center and swimming pool/spa area ( although one of the spa pools was covered in dead leave). The lobby store closed at 4 pm for the day. If you’re a tourist maybe the CC Plaza area, but if you’re here on business, enjoy!

I was here earlier in the month and my reaction to the great state of the physical structure of the hotel, which is well over 50 years old, is impressive. They obviously care for and invest in the property. Where I am taking marks away is my bathroom shower had no body wash in the container. That sucks when you get in the shower and find out there is no soap. The other is the denying of just a 1 hour late check out past noon. I'm a frequesnt Marriott traveler and can't get just an hour past noon?

This Hotel’s location cant be beat. Glass walkway connects you to Union Station which has lots to do, and you can catch a trolly right in front. WE stayed on the 5 th floor which is the same floor as the pool. THere is bar/ food service around the pool and you can bring your own drinks and snacks. The rooms have mini fridge, and comfy beds. This hotel is connected to Crown Center with many shops and food places. I highly recommend for a staycation or a great place to stay in Kansas City
