Comfort Inn (Kansas City)

My stay there was a strong smell of marijuana in the hallways and surrounding areas, despite your clearly stated no-smoking policy. It was very disappointing to see that this policy did not appear to be enforced, as the order was persistent and unavoidable. In addition, there were ongoing disturbances late into the night, including children running up and down the hallways, doors being slammed repeatedly, and individuals yelling out of the windows. This created a disruptive and uncomfortable environment, making it difficult to rest. I chose your hotel expecting a safe and peaceful stay, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The lack of enforcement of your policies and the noise disturbances significantly impacted my experience. Despite multiple attempts to report these issues during and after my stay - both by phone calls and emails - my concerns were never addressed. This lack of response only added to my frustration and disappointment.

This is a nice 2-star hotel. Nothing fancy. The small pool was under renovation in 2025. They offer a limited breakfast, but at least you can make a waffle and get scrambled eggs and sausage. The rooms are decent, though I did hear my neighbors. It felt safe enough and was in a good location for my trip.

Friend suggested I stay at this quality inn, so that night l didn't turn on the heat, next morning l turned on the heat and would you believe on the walls roaches, l can't believe what l was seeing, go down stairs tell counter person she suggested another room, now l ALREADY know I'm not going to stay there, so l played the game, go to second room turn heat on high and stand there and here it comes, l call cleaning lady in so she can see them , go back downstairs with my bags want my money back , management isn't answering her/him calls, and she cant give refunds without his approval, l said leave your manager a messaged, tell him or her lm going to call Kansas news station and ask them to investigate this hotel, NOW she can give me my money back without his permission
