Econo Lodge

You get what you get for a cheap motel. The room was reasonably clean, but I did find some cobwebs in places there shouldn’t be for a room that was otherwise clean. The person at the front desk was friendly enough and the breakfast bar seems decent. The furniture is a bit dated, but for one of the cheapest motels in St. Robert, I didn’t expect any different. It is a bit odd that things were missing pieces on them to make them look complete however: the phone and the room door to name a few. The air conditioning unit wasn’t on when we first got in the room either, but I suppose when the high outside is only 80, you’re not going to waste electricity with that… but the room certainly felt less sticky after only an hour of running the A/C. Would I stay here again? On a budget, sure. But I’m sure there’s somewhere comparable and a bit nicer nearby if I ever need a place to stay.

I know it’s close to Halloween and this has never happened to us before, it’s about 2:30 in the afternoon and my wife said let’s start looking for a hotel for the night. We pulled into the town of St Robert and found an econo lodge. It is old but clean. The room is large and has everything you would require for the price we paid. Nothing in the experience seemed familiar. It wasn’t until we started to write this review and we discovered that we had stopped at this exact hotel and eaten at the exact restaurant, 4 years before. Neither of us have any memory of being here 4 years ago or why we were even heading in this direction. But we were because we found our review online. Maybe it was an alien abduction.

One of the worse places we have stayed. Given keys to someones else room, luckily only there stuff was there not them. Then the 2nd room was filthy. Gave up up breakfast as it looked like just oatmeal and the attendants just were talking about what a crap place it was to work and complaining about everything .......run from this one
