Walnut Street Inn

First, let me say this is a great property and the staff was excellent. And, we have stayed their many times and our experience has always been great. Our previous stays were mostly between 2004 and 2009, during the time when our daughter was a student at MSU. We were back this past weekend as our daughter was being honored by the university and we stayed here to reminisce a bit. I was surprised to learn, upon checking in, that this is not truly a bed and breakfast anymore. It's only a B&B if you want to pay extra for breakfast. I have stayed in B&B's all of the US and Europe and, until this past weekend, a B&B meant "Bed AND Breakfast". I just believe that there should be clear disclosure made on the front end, not at check-in. If they want to be considered, then add the $20/head to the cost of the room. Yes, it is on their website. But, I had to scour the website thoroughly to find a reference to an additional charge for breakfast.

Extremely nice staff..one of the best I have stayed in for a B&B breakfast was made to order when you were ready..very comfortable and relaxing hotel..highly recommend..

We stayed at the Walnut Street Inn to attend an event at the Great Southern arena. It took us about 10 minutes to walk there. It was an easy walk. I loved saving money, not having to pay to park. On top of the awesome room, the breakfast provided was so good! I have stayed at other super gaudy Brbs. This place was so comfortable, and they left you alone. Caleb at the front desk was awesome. I also got to visit wirh the talented Chef. I would absolutely stay here again.
