SUPER 8 COOKE CITY YELLOWSTONE

Location was great. Very friendly staff. Room was spacious. Shower great. Bed comfortable. Room was very hot, only had ceiling fan no air conditioner. Breakfast was basic, could do with yogurt for cereal and maybe some toast and jam. Was very quiet.

It was a great location but I didn’t think elevators, AC and WIFI in a super 8 are things I had to worry about at $250 a night. The wifi wouldn’t load a page and we asked the front desk who stated how much they paid and if we wanted to pay the $125 then they would fix the wifi. WiFi is a basic necessity in a remote location like this so you can plan your trips and make calls. The ice machine was out of ice and the back door was broken so no security. No one to talk too or drop box at checkout (6:30am). I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

It is true that we chose the town of Cooke City to sleep, it is true that we were warned that there would be nothing, apart from two saloons and a café where we could eat, which are quite nice, by the way. The motel is very basic, mountain lodge style. They reserved for us the 2 best rooms that have a corner view with two windows, THANK YOU! Spacious rooms, I must say clean. We immediately had problems with the bathroom flooding on the first flush, which the lady with extreme annoyance unclogged and fixed. The empathy at the reception was comparable to that of the bear that roamed the town.
