To limit the costs of overnight stays in the parks, we decided to stay in West Yellowstone, where the prices are practically those of the park! What’s better is that the rooms are larger, and you have a better selection of restaurants and venues. The Brandin Iron is a fairly comfortable establishment, classic motel formula; rooms are quite clean, but the welcome and kindness could be improved. The breakfast room absolutely needs to be expanded; it felt like eating at a local festival, and the food offerings, given the price requested, also need improvement. Very convenient location just a few miles from the west entrance of the park

Totally filthy. Staff unprofessional. You better book somewhere else. We cancelled after one night and moved to another hotel.

I have NEVER left a bad review before, my husband and I are pretty laid back and have pretty simple expectations, but in this case, I felt I needed to speak up. When we first arrived at the hotel, the man at the reception desk was not very welcoming, which I can overlook, but then as we tried to book an additional room, he became downright rude. I couldn’t believe someone in customer service could treat a person that way!! Then, a day or so into our trip, I couldn’t find my expensive waterproof pants that I brought, unpacked and put in a drawer in the hotel room. I thought for sure it would turn up once we got home and unpacked all of our luggage, but they are GONE, which means hotel staff searched through our belongings, while we were out of our room, and stole them!! So if you decide to stay at this hotel, use the do not disturb sign, don’t let anyone in your room while you’re gone!
