Yellowstone Under Canvas

7 out of 5 stars. The staff could not have been lovelier nor more accomodating, the setting was absolutely breathtaking, and tents and activities were wonderful. This was a dream-come-true trip for me, and the team worked with my partner ahead of time to make it extra special. From arriving and being warmly greeted, to having fire-building clearly explained to us (it stuck, and we successfully built a fire every night, to arriving to our tent which had a spectacular Birthday and Love them (complete with Swan-folded towels, rose petals, and a hand-written "Happy Birthday" sign), to delightful activities like celestial jewelry making and s'mores every night, the staff kept topping themselves, as did our experience at this lovely glamping camp ground. Fiona and many of the other staff pitched in to make and set up the special tent decorations, and frequently checked in with us on how our trip was going, if there was anything else we needed, firewood restocked, etc, and we were both sincerely touched. In addition, the staff were very accommodating at every turn. I have a health issue that meant having ice packs readily available, and my partner needed to be able to plug in a medical device. The staff were helpful and supportive every step of the way, including when we needed to leave early due to a health issue. Fiona helped bring our bags to our car, expedited the check out process, and even packed a bag of snacks for us. To have a stay at such a beautiful and special place bookended with so much care, compassion, and enthusiasm made this a trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much to everyone there!!!

Before booking here, please read the descriptions on the web site. You are camping. Do not expect electricity. No, you cannot blow dry your hair. No, you do not have a refrigerator in your room. No, the staff of Undercanvas cannot control the weather. Be prepared for camping and you will have a fantastic time. The tents are large and have a great shower (yes, you need to hold the handle to get the water out - again you are camping). There is a flushing toilet and a great sink. The beds are comfortable. The wood stove is fantastic and easy to light. The amenities are sparse. If you are looking for a resort with lots of amenities do not book here. If you want a fun camping experience with beautiful scenery this is a great place. There is a river on site that you can swim in! A must do. They have s'mores and firepits and a cute bar. The food at the on site resturant is decent. The wait staff at the restaurant are wonderful. Especially Noah and Kayla. Make sure to ask for them! Close to Yellowstone Park. There is a great Rodeo across the street. Have fun!

Very pleasant stay in a magnificent natural environment. A small downside with water that leaked into one of the tents during a night of heavy rain. Otherwise, the tents were very comfortably equipped and full of charm.
