Comfort Inn

Was a pretty decent hotel for the price but was awoken by them testing the fire alarms and someone with house keeping trying to clean our room. Check out isnt until 12. Also, went down to grab a coffee and there was sugar ants all over the counter. Also found a black hair in our bed. My husband is blond and I'm a red head. Could have been better.

The Old Victorian is sandwiched between two fast-food restaurants on a busy, strip-mall-filled street. Upon entering our room, the first thing we noticed was the smell, kind of a weird, antiseptic odor covering up something more insidious. The room had a damp, clammy feel, and was loud due to the bare floors and bare walls. The raggedy curtains barely covered the window so we used one of the bedsheets to hang over the window for added privacy. We chose this hotel because they accepted dogs, and the more reputable hotels were booked because of a large conference that was occurring. Maybe this was one of the dog rooms? The continental breakfast was bare-bones. We got our first cup of coffee here since the room didn't have a coffee maker. Had a poor night's sleep and was awoken by construction workers at 6:30 AM putting in a drive-through at the adjacent Taco Bell. Great, now there will be exhaust fumes wafting over to the hotel from idling cars as folks wait to pick up their Chalupa Supremes. We got out of dodge early and hit the road.

Very friendly staff, early starting breakfast, cheap, clean, safe.
