Knights Inn North Platte NE

While it is an old motel, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the breakfast area was really nice . I would absolutely stay there again and I highly recommend it. The price is great, room is clean and comfy and they even leave a complimentary snack and water in the room. It was conveniently located just off the highway. We arrived after midnight but there was no issue

PROS: - Room cleanliness was acceptable, if imperfect - Good water pressure in shower - Cheaper than most options in this overpriced town CONS: - Central HVAC shared by all rooms. No thermostat, just a switch to open or close the outlet for shared air. - Musty room smell, likely in part due to shared circulating air - No luggage rack provided to protect bags from bugs I'm sorry, but the central HVAC setup is completely unacceptable. It should probably be illegal in motels without very obvious disclaimers visible before a customer books, or at least before they pay at check-in. I'm not paying $100 for a seedy room just to walk in and get slammed with all the other guests' odors and god knows what else. That, and no ability to control the room temperature. It boggles my mind that so many other recent reviews are positive because of superficial stuff like free fruit in the lobby. Install individual window units like an actual *motel*, then I'll come back and rate on the finer details. Until then, this is practically like a glorified hostel with the sole advantage of a private bathroom.

Clean rooms and the staff was very welcoming. Incredible breakfast with a lot of variety. Convenient on and off the freeway.
