Desert Moon Motel

My daughter and I stayed at this property for 6 days and (to my chagrin!) I didn't review it because I assumed that their great reviews were going to greatly increase the price. MY BAD!! We stayed while we worded a conference on the Strip so we came and went at all hours, usually coming home after 10PM. Never, at any time, did we feel the neighborhood was dangerous (not even sketchy but we come from major California cities). The room itself was clean, comfortable and contained an entire kitchen - which was incredibly useful. The only negative (perhaps) was a TV system that is difficult to manage if you're not familiar with it. One night I actually had to call my husband to get us back to the menu (which is mostly '80's greats!) The service was very personal. We were driving from the Bay Area on the day we checked in and I hadn't noticed that the office closed early. We got a phone call asking for our ETA and they were incredibly polite in accommodating us. I have no idea who these other reviewers were or what they experienced but if you have any traveling experience, this is a true gem in Las Vegas. I'm really sorry if it increases the price out of my range, but I couldn't believe the reviews online and appreciate the price and value they provided me last December.

Super sketchy. Booked on Expedia. When I arrived at sunset, the area had already gotten dangerous. In the parking area were aggressive transients. 7-11 next door was closed due to it had just been robbed! Left immediately. Booked a no refund room and was out money but still bailed. It was that sketchy.

STAY AWAY. Extremely poor management, dirty rooms and very sketchy customer based doing lord knows what. I was harassed, intimidated and not refunded for not even staying. I checked in, got harassed by someone staying there, then heard loud banging on the other side of the wall. Felt extremely unsafe, checked out and left and contacted them for my money back and they refuse. How is this place still operating? Disgusting business practice.
