The Skylofts at MGM Grand

The location is GREAT! The atmosphere of the Skylofts is quite nice. The rooms are spacious and GREAT for entertaining. The value for the money is just ok. The rooms are spotless (for the most part). The noise level on the floor is quiet... expect that the doors slam loudly. It is not too bad when you are in the upstairs bedroom(s)... but can be loud on the main floor. The service to/from the airport can't be beat. The amenities in the room are AWESOME!! There is one issue that needs to be mentioned. Historically, the Skyloft team leaves little treats at night. These treats were, historically, free of charge. They continue to provide the treats -- but they are charged to your room as room-service. There is a tip and tax added. If you are expecting a FREE nicety... this is NO LONGER free!! Just be advised and expect a $25-$30 nightly room service charge with tip and tax.

I stayed here previously during the 21 teens. SO much has changed. I called to get reservations prior to checking in. No word was received. I called again to be told that the Mansion had not been contacted and was only able to achieve 1 of 3 desired reservations. There seemed to be an ongoing lack of communication with staff; it began with reservations before check-in and continued throughout the stay. It took 2 nights to find memory foam pillows, the check-out arrangements were not correct. Our room was tired and the air-conditioning for the bedroom was not up to scratch.

I have been going to MGM since 1994. It has been a past time for my family for years. We enjoy our getaway plenty of things to do concerts, comedy, sports games, gambling, fine dining, they have exquisite rooms and shopping Fun for all ages! We love are quick trips to MGM to relax and escape reality!
