Stonybrook Motel & Lodge

First of all, the website showed an outdoor pool, they never had one. The indoor pool was drained too. The room smelled horrible, and it was old and shabby.. when I complain to the manager at the office I just got a blank stare. When I asked him about the website where they had an outdoor pool, he said that they’ve been trying to remove that from the website.. I’m concerned he’s a liar. It doesn’t take anything to remove a website photo the place was a dump. There was something on the sheets. I’m not sure what.. I would call this place an expensive dog house

Dirty & Noisy! Do Not waste your money here - the rooms are filthy and the management is horrible. I stayed there for work - the room was gross but it was paid for, the heat didn't work & the people in the adjacent rooms were so loud I did not even stay 1 night had paid for 3 nights but the manager would not refund my money.

We made our reservation here because it was near the Franconia Notch State Park and planned to do some hiking and exploring in the area. (Which was crowded at the park, but still very worthwhile). The staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating, but we were very disappointed in this property in general. The room was small, walls were very thin so it was noisy, the TV channels didn't work, other guests were smoking pot outside our room and playing loud music. Breakfast was OK but for $200+ a night (we stayed 3 nights) it wasn't good. We got some reprieve by spending time at the picnic table behind the motel with the creek running by. THAT was the best part of the place, along with the Dutch Treat restaurant nearby.
