The Inn is an excellent place to stay. It could use a little work to freshen it up, but I think it’s planned already.
The beds are comfy, parking is easy and the place is very safe for solo and female travelers.
The main highlight was the wonderful young lady at the reception. She was an absolute star and it’s plain to see she cares deeply about the satisfaction of the guests and is deeply knowledgeable about the Inn’s history.
About the restaurant:
The restaurant is adorable and has a couple vegetarian/vegan options.
The cocktails are not great, but that’s okay, you come for the ambiance and a bite.
But be ready for a strong smell of fish!

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet even the basic standards we expect from a three-star hotel.
Our concerns are as follows:
Guest Room
We were assigned a supposedly renovated room. However, the room had no closet and no clothes hangers, forcing us to keep all of our belongings in our suitcases throughout our stay.
Television
The television had only one working channel, and we were unable to access any others. At approximately 9:30 p.m., we attempted to contact the Front Desk for assistance, but no one answered the phone. In addition, the television was mounted with loose, exposed wiring, which looked unprofessional and unfinished.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping service was well below expectations. On one occasion, we returned to our room to find that the bed had not been properly made, and the bed linens had not been straightened or changed. Overall, the room was not serviced to an acceptable standard.
Breakfast
The breakfast was extremely disappointing and certainly did not reflect the "excellent breakfast" advertised on Booking.com. The coffee deserves special mention—it was so weak that it resembled colored water rather than coffee. After the first morning, we chose to have breakfast at a nearby bagel and coffee shop instead.
We fully understand that your property is a three-star hotel. However, the issues described above concern basic amenities and services that every guest has the right to expect, regardless of the hotel's category.
We paid $641.19 for a two-night stay, and we brought all of these concerns to the attention of the receptionist at check-out. We were hoping for an appropriate resolution, such as a refund for one night's stay or another form of compensation. Unfortunately, we were informed that " I would let them know" as the lady at the reception said.

We checked in for 1 night and after staying, we opted for another night. They were so accommodating. Then my husband got sick, and we needed to check out and head home. Again, they were accommodating and refunded our money for the second nights stay. This place is VERY clean, comfortable and quiet. What a great stay! The food in the restaurant is extraordinary! Professional and very friendly staff. The rooms are great with a vintage vibe. Just what you may think of when you think of a New England inn. Perfect from start to finish. We will be back when my husband is better! Love it.
