We booked this trip last minute and once we arrived, I realized how lucky I was that there was a room left for the weekend at The Manor. Winding up the drive to the estate house gave us a sense of what was ahead. The perfectly well kept landscaping was the perfect backdrop to the stunning view and natural beauty of the area. Our room was not in the manor house, but in a small annex building just steps away. We loved the room. It was generously sized with a huge king bed, seating area in front of a fireplace and a gorgeous, newly renovated bathroom. Front and rear patios with rocking chairs meant we could sit in the sun or shade and enjoy the fresh air. The amenities were lovely - perfectly soft robes, lovely sheets and blankets and fresh cookies left daily. Each morning we enjoyed a lazy breakfast (avocado toast & oatmeal) with fresh coffee and juice. They offered many hot, delish looking breakfast options if that's your preference. We ate once in the pub, and really enjoyed our meal. Other nights we went elsewhere, but only because we like to explore. If you prefer staying "close to home" the more formal restaurant option for dinner looked like it would be amazing and perfect for more formal experience. The Manor was also well placed for daytime activities. We went to a nearby music festival one day and hiking the next while also making time for a dip in the lovely pool! The staff were super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a high end but relaxed place to stay in NH, look no further.
