Comfort Inn & Suites

We stayed one night at this Holiday Inn Express as part of a road trip. The hotel sits back from the road, so you have to watch for signage for where to turn into the parking lot (it's just across the railroad tracks). It's a good-sized hotel and there is plenty of parking around the building. If you use the side entrance, be sure to watch out for the steps because there's not much of a landing when going out or coming in, especially if your hands are full. We were upgraded to a 2Q Suite which provided ample room and a small kitchenette. The refrigerator worked well as did the air conditioner. The beds were comfortable. The shower worked well, plenty of water pressure. The staff were friendly and always busy, either at the front desk, cleaning, or hosting the breakfast. The breakfast was pretty standard HIE breakfast. I will say that the weekend rates are really really high - especially when you compare the same room on a weekday. We realize it's a touristy area, but nearly double price for a Friday night than a Monday night is a bit ridiculous. So our tip to fellow travelers is to try to go during the week if you're able.

Great rooms and view. Clean and comfortable

We really appreciated the excellent staff. They moved us first from a first-floor room, then quickly to a quieter room on the fourth floor when it was still noisy. The suite was clean and comfortable, and the location is great for visiting the White Mountains. There were a few things that could be improved, though. The bathroom wasn't fully stocked when we arrived, and the TVs could use an upgrade to smart streaming. It got pretty crowded at the pancake station in the morning, and as someone who really enjoys iced coffee, it was a downside that only hot coffee was offered and there wasn't an ice dispenser in breakfast area. The pool was also very crowded with no apparent supervision, and the rough play made it hard to enjoy. Despite those issues, the clean rooms, convenient location, and outstanding customer service made the stay enjoyable, and we would consider staying again.
