I’ve been coming to Nordic Village Resort every summer for the past three years, and each stay has been absolutely wonderful!
The rooms are always very clean and tidy, and everything you need is provided. The units are comfortable, well-equipped, and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
What makes this resort special is that it’s so much more than a typical hotel. The property is huge, stretching from the mountaintop down into the valley, with plenty of amenities and activities to enjoy. There are several pools throughout the resort, but my favorite spot is the fitness center on the mountain. It’s surrounded by trees on all sides, and there’s a pool right outside where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain views.
The game room is also a lot of fun, with ping pong, pool tables, and other activities for both adults and kids. You can also check out their three adorable sheep in the barn!
The staff are always incredibly kind and helpful. A couple of nights ago, we accidentally locked ourselves out of our unit late at night and were very stressed. Fortunately, we happened to meet an employee who lives on the property, and he kindly helped us get back inside. We were so grateful for his help.
Another great thing about Nordic Village is its location. Within a short drive, you’ll find outlet shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, waterfalls, and many other attractions. It’s the perfect place to explore both nature and the local area.
Every visit here creates wonderful memories, and I look forward to coming back again. I highly recommend Nordic Village Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in the White Mountains.

Not sure why this “resort” has such nice reviews. Went here with a large group of family and I can say that I’m never returning.
1. We were told several times over phone that we would all be in the same building when making reservations. We arrive, and we are given keys to a completely different building a good 5 minute drive away.
2. The rooms are not clean at all. The carpets and stairs were covered in pollen and dirt, and the bathroom tiles were cracked with even more dirt inside the cracks.
3. There isn’t any room service or even daily cleaning like a normal hotel. You have to physically ask them to come in and clean your room AND you are told to take out your own garbage outside to the dumpster behind the building, but they don’t give you any garbage bags. You have to go either to the rental office across the street to ask for them or buy your own. You also have to clean your own dishes.
4. The pools all close at 7pm for some reason despite there being no lifeguard on duty ever.
5. We went into the game room to play billiards and it had an AWFUL smell… like literal sh*t.
6. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on a box spring.
7. We had to rinse and clean out the jacuzzi tub multiple times because there was dirt and bugs inside.
8. From midday to 11pm at night, we had HVAC doing active plumbing and construction work right below us using drills and other loud tools which was very annoying.
9. We had a big TV in our room, but it didn’t even work properly. We couldn’t scroll or look through the guide at all.
10. A major one for us- THERE IS NO SECURITY ON THE PREMISES!! Once you get your key from the offsite office, you just drive into the village that has no one manning the booth. Anyone could walk or drive in and attempt to break into any of the buildings which all have old locks, or they could just break the glass to the balcony.
Overall, 2/5. The 2 stars are PURELY for the view from the balcony which is gorgeous. If you’re not in the Chatues aka the giant houses on the top of the hill, it feels like a budget motor inn. Definitely not worth the price which is around $200 a night.

Booked a room for two nights end of September to allow us to visit the White Mountains and the Fryeburg Fair. Upon checking in we were informed we had been upgraded to the suite on the top of the mountain and we immediately settled in. What an upgraded, amazing room with the most gorgeous view one could imagine. The peak of the season. Staff made some great suggestions from hikes to take and places to eat. A truely special experience that will not soon be forgotten. The Fair was an afterthought and we put in a mandatory couple of hours, couldn't wait to get back to oiur digs and enjoy the scenery.
