Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge

This is not a boutique hotel experience. There is no one on site, the pool is 65 degrees, there is no breakfast, the front door is unlocked so people can walk in all nights and as I write this after 11 pm there are people outside our room in the lobby making a ton of noise. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else

I’m actually at a 3.5. Hideaway could have gotten a 4.5 or a 5 but there is no one there to help you. It’s all self service.

The self check on and checkout isn’t that easy. I had to call and was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to check in when the kiosk wasn’t working. To check out we received an email with a link that didn’t work. Rooms are clean but if you need anything or help you are on your own. Guests had dogs which are allowed but left them in the room while they were out and the dog was whining and barking the entire time. What was of concern is unoccupied rooms have their doors opened ajar and anyone could walk in and did one and make themselves at home without anyone knowing. Just a heads up especially if you are checking in alone. Our room kept saying it want ready when we tried to check in using the kiosk and asked where we could be found…Libby, restaurant which there isn’t one, and another place but there’s no one there to come find you so not sure why they would ask. Other guests had similar check in issues while we were there. Rooms okay but the self service needs to be more user friendly.
