The White Mountain Hotel and Resort

I had a mixed experience during my recent stay. On the positive side, the hotel's location is absolutely lovely, and the decor is wonderful. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and I have to give a special shout-out to the excellent housekeeping team for their hard work. Unfortunately, several issues detracted from the stay. The hotel seems to host a lot of senior bus tours. The tour group staying during my visit drank heavily and was incredibly loud in two rooms just a couple of doors down from me, lasting for both nights of my stay. When dealing with the staff, I found the reception team to be cold and prickly, which didn't make for a very welcoming environment. Lastly, the dining was highly disappointing for dietary restrictions. I notified the hotel months in advance that I required vegan options. Despite the long notice, the best they could offer me was oatmeal made with dairy milk. This was completely unacceptable and nowhere near comparable to the other standard items on the menu. It is a beautiful property, but the customer service, noise management, and dietary accommodations need serious improvement.

We only stayed for two nights .. as was the end of our tour around. But wow wish we had stayed longer. We didn’t realise exactly what was to offer because of being booked through a travel consultant! Would definitely go back and make use of everything. Great location, lovely atmosphere, fab room , fairly expensive, clean as a whistle, no noise great service and amenities.

Great resort. We only stayed for 2 nights and wished we had more time. The bar and restaurant were fabulous. Great ambience in both. The lobby is very nice as well. Unfortunately we had plenty of rain so the views were limited. As a golfer, I was tempted to rent clubs as the course looks awesome. Next time!
