Port Inn

Our hopes were very high for this motel and sadly immediately disappointed. Pros: Staff was friendly. Quiet. Close to amenities. Cons: There was what looked like animal waste in the walkway that never got cleaned during our entire stay. Everyone walking by would step on it and it made me cringe for what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. The interior room was as clean as it could probably be but very rundown despite photos. We discovered cockroaches on our final night which was very disturbing and a first for us. We spent our last day making sure there were none hitching a ride with us home. I actually cried because this was our first trip for a while and I spent it feeling anxious. Conclusion: I would strongly suggest cleaning walkways daily at any motel. I've never been anywhere that this wasn't standard maintenance. The room itself visually looked mostly clean but cockroaches are always a sign of a problem that needs addressing. We are middle aged and that was legitimately our first encounter with cockroaches.

So convenient, clean, friendly, wonderful breakfast, dog friendly!

Pros: clean, convenient location, free parking, affordable, free breakfast, staff are nice, can park by your door for easy unloading. Cons: super busy intersection = lots of road noise early in the morning until late in the evening. Our room was the 2nd closest to the corner of the two roads and you could hear every car driving by. I asked if they could move us to the rear building and they indicated no rooms were available. The walls are also super thin as we could hear our neighbors coughing, slamming doors coming and going, etc. The room furnishings are also very dated though they did have hard floors (no gross carpet) and the bathrooms look like they have had some updates. The breakfast was not great. Cereal tasted stale, pancakes were flat and rubbery. I would not stay here again. The photos make it look really scenic and most reviews I read must have been people staying in the back building.
