We stayed two nights at this hotel to attend a formal wedding on June 6. We are Hilton Honors Members and have stayed at Hampton Inns across the country. We rented a King Suite this time because we had a group of friends also staying at the hotel. We were disappointed in how the suite was furnished and appointed, and also in the hotel’s customer service,
The suite had two large rooms, but the only furniture for seating was a small couch and one desk chair. Not even a coffee table. There was one desk lamp in the sitting area and one small bedside lamp in the bedroom. The whole suite was too dark to reasonably read. We asked if we could have two small chairs for guests who had stooped to visit in our room. This was the reason we booked a suite. We were told no. So we had lots of room, but friends who stopped by our suite had to stand!
The phone in our room was completely dead. We reported that when we got there, nobody ever came to even check it out.
For our king size bed we had 4 small size feather pillows. When you put your head on one, it flattened to less that one inch thick. We requested extra pillows the night we arrived, they were promised but not delivered. We requested them again the next morning and again they never showed up. We finally had to go to the lobby and stand at the desk until someone could directly hand us pillows for the last night.
For a two night stay in our suite, we were allotted two small, unmatched bath towels. I asked for one more clean towel when we were getting ready for the wedding and was told we were only allowed the towels that were in our room when we checked in, that they had no extras.
Breakfast was OK, no issues. Overall, our experience was far below what we expect from Hampton Inn, or from a suite in a decent hotel.
