Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea

Distinctly average hotel. Typical New York small room, air con was making an absolute racket. Poor. Coffee machine not working. Poor.

Hotel is in an excellent location and room rates are OK and offer decent value. I stayed there with my wife and son for 4 nights last week in June. The main reason I'm giving this hotel a 5* review is the excellent staff. Kim, reception manager went out of her way to ensure that we had a near perfect stay. I'm a Hilton Diamond member and normally looked after but Kim went the extra mile, dealing with minor issue, sorting out a good price for a taxi on the way home and just generally incredibly helpful and personable. I parallel, Liza in the breakfast room was great, she accommodated my 'off menu' requests (with the help of the chef). All staff were friendly. Rooms were adequate with a decent sized fridge and microwave. heating / cooling worked OK. Bathroom / shower all good. An improvement would be to have a low energy light in the bathroom that could be left on over night.

The hotel was amazing right along with the staff! We have two small boys so we spent some time in the room, and some time exploring New York! It was a wonderful stay and we appreciate the hospitality from the entire staff!!
