Hyatt 48 Lex Hotel

Today we had some difficulties because our flight was cancelled and we needed to leave New York. A lady working at front desk called Lina helped us a ton. She helped us book a rent a car so we could leave nyc and then hop onto our flight in another place. She was really helpful and kind along the stressful process!! We would like to congratulate her.

I booked a room to stay at the NYC location (48th & Lex), and it was not the best. Valet didn't come to the car, I had to wait even though no one else was ahead of me or waiting at the front desk. Both elevators were down and I was surprised with that news during check-in, they really should have called me or sent an email to notify me to give me the option to make other accommodations. The room was spacious and clean. The air conditioning was annoying to deal with because it doesn't stay on even if you put it to the lowest temperature setting. The restaurant downstair The Cognac was very nice, but expensive for what you get. Speaking of expensive, the price of the rooms are higher than average so that is the reason for most of my disappointment in my most recent stay. This hotel would be a lot nicer if the service was up to par and the elevators were working.

stayed here for a wedding block. room much smaller than appears in photos. rooms were not clean, especially the bathroom. there wa still pubic hair in the shower, and the bathroom room was broken.
