ink48-Vu Hotel

This hotel could be so much more with some improvements in staff & service. Although everyone is friendly, things don't go as smoothly as they should. Our room, a Hudson Suite, had the spectacular view I was looking for. But it also had only one air conditioner & thermostat for the two rooms, leaving one cold & one HOT ( the bedroom of course). We did ask what could be done & a tall fan was brought up which helped alot. You also have to ask if you want robes or a coffee maker, both of which took about 5 hours to arrive. And the in-room phones did not work at all & no one ever came to fix them. Checking in was also a problem, we missed a planned event because we could not get into our room till 430 in the afternoon. We had been told it would be ready shortly after two, but then told it was delayed by someone else needing a room change ??? At least they did honor my request for one on a floor with a good view eventually. The hotel & attached food venues are actually 2 completely separate entities. ANd one will have nothing to do with the other. So when I thought I lost my credit cards at The Vu, the front desk could do nothing , not even let me up to the Vu floor to look. And the food venue does not answer emails or calls or texts. Overall the hotel staff is very friendly, but in our short one night stay there were at least 5 different people at the front desk, so no continuity from one to the next. And we NEVER saw a room attendant. On a plus side its skeek, clean and a fun place to stay if you need to be on the west side.

location was ok, easy unload of our luggage. front desk kept talking to his friend on his phone even when I was visibly in front of him waiting. i did not want to ruin my daughters day so i stayed patient. The view was nice. AC did not work, we had to let engineering in at 3am bec it was 80 degrees in the room, we get moved to 3rd floor it was loud, there was a conference going on. and now the phone in the room does not work. i call from my cellphone and they said they will waive the amenity fee bec of all the trouble. tosay i get my amex bill and they still charged me amenity fees. UNBELIEVABLE!! i will never ever stay in this hotel again. its no the hotel its the workers that i would like to never want to experience again. CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS TO GET BETTER SPECIALLY IF WE ARE PAYING $400 PER NIGHT! i had to call again to get the amenties waived and if i did not check my cc i wouldve been charged double. valet fee ridicoulously high. will not reccomend this place

I stayed in this hotel for one night in May 2026. Hotel is located near Time Square , like 10-15 min walk from actual Time Square , so you are away from hustle and bustle of the area. Check in process was very smooth, front desk people are very nice. Hotel room is BIG for the New York hotels. It has big panoramic window. Beds were very comfortable. Couple blocks away there is street with many good restaurants with variety cousins and decent prices. This is solid 4 star hotel and o would definitely stay there again. Only down side that is worth to mention that next door of the hotel some club / rooftop place. Music was blasting very loud in the evening. So if you are light sleeper that might be an issue. We were so tired during the day that we fell to sleep immediately. so it was not big issue for us. But again that might be an issue.
