Colonial Inn

We stayed overnight in a room near the boardwalk, in front of the pond. The room was spacious and very clean, with a really nice bathroom. I would have given them 5 stars if the bed hadn't been so uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. Neither my wife nor I had a sound night's sleep because of it. The continental breakfast was nice but didn't offer much of variety.

Great time at the colonial inn Loved the room and the history of the inn Everyone at the inn were friendly and helpful The village has many many shops And there is a train ride, carousel, and paddle boats for kids and adults And definitely make reservations at the Smithville inn. Food was delicious Especially chicken pot pie and crab cakes

I stayed at the Colonial Inn for three nights, mid week during June 2026. It was very enjoyable. First of all, the front desk staff could not do enough to be helpful. They were wonderful. I interacted with three or four of the staff during my visit and they were all friendly and efficient. They offer free coffee and tea all day,(including iced coffee) and cookies. There's a continental breakfast served in a cute basket. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I thought the prices were fair, particularly as it's going into their high season. I have some mobility issues, so was looking for an accessible room. Room 106 is listed as accessible with a walk in tub, but I'm not sure I'd classify it as really accessible. It's a largish room, but they have replaced the walk in tub with a traditional tub. I don't recall seeing a bath seat, but not 100% sure about that. I had originally booked this room, and when I said I would have trouble with getting in and out of a regular tub, they immediately offered me another room, which was actually an upgrade. Many of the rooms have separate showers, but they aren't roll in. You need to step up slightly to get in the shower. I enjoyed staying in the Village and did some fun shopping and had some good meals. The employees on the property were very friendly. I'll definitely be back.
