AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN

The Motel is usually listed as Rodeo Lodge, and appears to be a 60s or 70s Motor Lodge with a fairly recent update. The Rooms open onto the Parking Lot. Nick was away from the front desk helping a guest, when we and another couple arrived to check in. I called the front desk, which also rang through to him. The room was spacious and included a Kitchen area with a medium sized Refrigerator with a Freezer, Microwave, Cooktop with a Hood, but no Utensils. There was a Non Keurig Coffee Maker (only one regular and one decaf coffee packet) and a sink. There was a table and 2 chairs, and a separate desk. There was an Ironing Board and Clothes Iron. There was a blow dryer in the Bathroom. Like most Motels of its time, sound insulation was not of the quality you find in most modern Motels and Hotels. As we turned down the sheets to prepare for bed, we noticed a hair and some lint. A quick brushing dislodged them. Just as I was about to turn out the light to go to sleep, I saw roach scurry across the floor. It was the only one I saw during our stay.

I stayed at this hotel and then after being there 1 day, i found a small cockroach on my bed. The management said they had just done a heat treatment in the room, but that obviously that didn’t work. The room had a bizarre layout with the toilet behind the shower and the doors had damage and the kitchenette was dirty and worn. Management tried to move us to another room, but when we checked out any way they wouldn’t compensate us! This place sucks. Don’t stay here unless you like cockroaches in your luggage to bring home!

My husband stayed for 4 nights at a cost of around $400 and came home covered in bed bug bites!!! The room was filthy and must be infested because both arms are completely covered in bites as well as having them on his stomach, chest, neck and back! And when he told the young man at the desk his response was that the man who rented him the room was now out of the country! He wouldn't refund the money but could probably comp some of it for his next stay. NO THANK YOU! We will never stay there again!
