Laguna Vista Lodge Eagle Nest

Amazing place. Incredible staff. They answered my call after hours and booked me late night. Gave my pup some treats and the gifted me a free drink! The cabin was super cozy. I couldn’t figure out the air conditioning but the mountain air was so crisp and refreshing it was completely unneeded. I’ll be back here asap.

DO NOT STAY HERE ! Booked the Historic Residence Cabin for 4 nights, manager made us pay upfront when we arrived before we saw the cabin. Upon opening the front door to the cabin, it absolutely reeked of skunk spray, bed covers had pet hair all over them, bathroom towels had human hair entangled in them, hardwood floors were disgustingly dirty and the heater wouldn’t work properly. It was suppose to sleep 6, but only comfortably sleeps 4, had to rent another cabin to sleep the other 2 in our party, spent over $1,500 in accommodations and after the 3rd night we had to leave, we couldn’t stand it anymore. Confronted the manager about the state of the cabin and all he would do was give us some vanilla spray and told us he knew of the problem but there was nothing he would do about it. WORST VACATION EXPERIENCE EVER !

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel . The front desk receptionist was extremely pleasant and check in was smooth . The lodge itself was built a while ago but they have some cabin type rooms that faces the water which was very peaceful . The restaurant / bar is right on site and the food, drinks, and atmosphere was great . Although the staff weee very busy they were prompt and very courteous/ talkative . If you are heading to Taos, I would encourage you to take the scenic drive up to Eagles Nest for a night or two at this lodge !
