Staff was cordial and apologetic as the place is sitting behind temporary fencing and under major renovation. I was placed on the second floor. I departed the office and, as I was looking for access, the front office staff came out and explained where stairs were located. I drove to the side adjacent to stairs in order to have my car overnight in a more secure location. The room was hot upon entry but seemed suitable. No signal on the TV but I was tired and went to bed early. I needed to pull a chair to the side of the bed since there was no night table. I sought out an outlet to charge my phone and as many of us do, left it in the room when I departed. The tissue receptacle held an empty tissue box, one of the chairs had streaks, stains on the seat back as well as the seat, a pillow case had a blood stain and I found out in the morning that the edge where I had draped my pants overnight had a lot of construction dust. I am happy to say the room cooled quickly and I enjoyed a soundless sleep on an apparent new mattress. My car was undisturbed overnight.

In pictures it looked ok, but in reality, it was not clean, no microwave, the heater does not work, and nights are pretty cold there, in bathroom also it is too cold even to be, not to tell about taking a shower there, poor WiFi, too expensive for that quality. It should to be on "Hotel impossible" TV show.

Safety first, we decided to call it day...long drive. No other options for a place to stay..this was the best of the best in Socorro. Grounds and room were very, very, very outdated, clean but outdated. No AC in room, no fridge, no microwave, no blowdryer, no iron, very snowy reception on old box type TV and the room was tiny. NO amenities and was charged $92. We paid a $25 pet stay fee. Staff was GREAT...friendly, quick, and welcoming. I was told I could not get a deposit back on my card because only one staff person was authorized to give the refundable deposit and she was not working that day. The breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, breads/bagels/pastries/cereal. The area to eat was very clean. This place needs to adjust pricing with condition and age of the motel.
