Hampton Inn Brockport

I chose to book this Hampton Inn because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately my entire stay was a major disappointment from the moment I checked in until the day I left. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room that had not even been cleaned or prepared for a guest. I had to contact the front desk, and they moved me to another room. Unfortunately, the problems continued — the TV and the in-room safe were both not working. I reported the issues to the front desk before leaving for the day and was assured that someone would come to fix them while I was out. When I returned, neither issue had been resolved, and I had to contact the front desk again the following day. Eventually, maintenance came by and informed me that the TV issue could not be fixed, although they were able to get the safe working. The housekeeping service was another major disappointment. Before leaving one morning, I called the front desk to request fresh towels and was instructed to leave the used towels on the floor so housekeeping could replace them. When I returned, there had been no housekeeping service at all — no fresh towels were provided, and the used towels were still sitting exactly where I had left them. I had no choice but to go to the front desk myself to request clean towels. The issues extended beyond the room. The fitness center had 3 out of 6 cardio machines out of order, and the water cooler in the gym had no water available for my entire stay. The breakfast service was also unacceptable. The hot breakfast buffet was advertised to begin at 6:00 AM, but even at 6:45 AM there was still no hot food available. After waiting, we eventually gave up and left. Throughout my stay, I spoke with several staff members who were apologetic and acknowledged the problems. I was told that a new management team had taken over about two weeks ago and that things had been declining since then. Other guests also mentioned similar complaints about the property. When I asked the front desk when management would be available so I could discuss my concerns directly, no one seemed to know. The staff did assure me that my concerns would be forwarded to management and that a manager would contact me. I will update this review if I receive any follow-up, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property at this time. A hotel stay should not involve repeatedly chasing staff for basic room functionality, clean towels, working facilities, and advertised amenities.

We enjoyed our stay. Had absolutely no complaints. The room was clean, and breakfast was great! Would recommend this place hands down!

The hotel Manager was evil. She was disrespectful to her staff and hotel guests. Very bad. The breakfast was microwaved powdered eggs. There was a terrible smell and the fire alarms went off because there was a gas leak on the third floor and everyone had to be moved to a different floor
