B Hotel & Hostel

I have been to several hotels. This hotel is the most friendly kitchen where I can cook my food. It also has a piano to play. The room is clean, and although we must share the bathroom and the shower, it is still comfortable. Affordable for students.

The worst place in New York!! They owes me $ 300 and stop respond to my emails...I had a reservation for 8 nights. I got there, and the first thing is that they signed me to a document with laws that if I pass them they will fined me $ 100.. Then I got the room, which was really not as I was promised...The room was not a room, nor was it private, It was a cabin on the floor with another 45 cabin, and there is no separation between the cabins, the walls do not reach the ceiling, and you shall the ceiling with all the other cabins, it's feels like a public restroom in casino in Las Vegas, At night I heard people farting from the cains next to me!!!!!!!! Another thing is that there were only 2 toilet cubicles for the entire floor, The toilet were half-transparent glass and could not be locked, there was no privacy at all and it wasn't even pleasant to use the toilet....... After one night I asked the girl at reception about leaving and canceling the next nights.. She was said it possible but it would be a one-night fine(50$). So I hid, I stayed One more night So in the end the total nights was $ 150, The next day I checked out and I walked to hotle I had to order following this... After returning to to my country, I checked my credit card account and saw that they charged me for about $ 450!! I emailed them about it, and they replied that they would settle the matter and return the money to me. After a month that nothing happened I sent them another email and they did not answer me. After another 2 month, I sent them another email, and another letter on their website....And they just didn't answer any of those emails!!!! I feel like I was stolen!!!

I have stayed here 3 times now when in NY as I needed a cheap bed to sleep in and somewhere to wash and the hotels were sky high. I’ve never had a problem with any extra charges or disappearing bookings like other people have written. I’ve encountered nothing but niceness from staff, they were helpful if I asked any questions about sights or transport. The hostel is very close to the subway which is useful. Brooklyn as a whole I’ve found can be quite sketchy in the day let alone the night so as long as you’re savvy and sensible you’ll be fine. I walked to and from here late at night a lot and never encountered a problem personally. The shower rooms have glass doors and so do the toilets, odd to say the least in a communal bathroom area. They had hot water and usually weren’t occupied so I didn’t have to wait to use them. I never used any kitchen facilities, the hostel did store my luggage a few times in a secure area behind their desk, they also have a labelling system so you can be sure no one will take yours accidentally. The bedrooms themselves are basic, cheap bunk beds, uncomfortable to say the least to sleep on. There was not much room in there to open your case if there was two occupiers. There is a locker in the room you can put a lock on and use which is good for money and other valuables ie- passport. I feel this place could do with an update but on the whole it was a bed and hot running water for me.
