I want to take a moment to specifically recognize Lisa at Villa Roma Resort, because employees like Lisa are what make a guest’s experience truly memorable. From our first interaction with Lisa, she showed exceptional customer service, professionalism, patience, kindness, and genuine care. She listened to our requests, answered our questions, followed through, and made us feel like our family truly mattered. Lisa didn’t simply do her job — she went above and beyond. Her attitude, communication, attention to detail, and willingness to help stood out to us throughout our experience. You can tell when someone is simply working a shift, and you can tell when someone genuinely cares about the guests and takes pride in what they do. Lisa genuinely cares. ⭐ Management — Please Recognize Lisa! I sincerely hope someone in management reads this review and makes sure Lisa receives the recognition she deserves. Lisa deserves a raise. Not just a quick “thank you,” but genuine recognition for the value she brings to Villa Roma. Employees who provide this level of hospitality are the people a resort should work hard to retain. A great employee can make guests want to return, recommend the property to others, and remember their stay for the right reasons. If Villa Roma has an employee recognition program, bonus, award, promotion, or advancement opportunity, Lisa should absolutely be considered. Please don’t let an employee like this go unnoticed. 🏨 About the Resort I also want to be honest about the property itself. Villa Roma has a tremendous amount of potential. The resort has a great family atmosphere, plenty to do, and the kind of setting that can create wonderful memories. However, the guest rooms are badly in need of updating. The rooms feel dated and could really benefit from a major refresh — particularly the bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, bedding, flooring, and overall room design. With an investment in modernizing the accommodations, Villa Roma could take the entire guest experience to another level. But even with areas of the property that need improvement, Lisa made a difference. That’s what stood out to us. We have stayed at many hotels and resorts, and exceptional employees are not something you take for granted. Lisa made us feel welcomed, respected, and appreciated, and that deserves to be recognized. Villa Roma management: please take care of Lisa. Give her the raise. Recognize her hard work. Let her know that guests notice what she does. Lisa, thank you for everything you did for our family. Your kindness, professionalism, and genuine care did not go unnoticed. I recently spent two days at Villa Roma with three friends, and we really enjoyed our stay! There was so much to do and see, and every staff member we met was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Our room for two was clean, neat, and cozy. The bedroom, living room, and kitchen were all very well maintained, and even the sheets and pillows smelled fresh and clean. I especially liked the bathroom—the toilet, shower, and bathtub are in separate areas, which is very convenient when more than one person is getting ready. Everything was clean and well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, towels, and other essentials. We also had a beautiful view of the gardens from our window, and you can really tell the staff puts a lot of time and effort into keeping the grounds neat and beautiful. And the food! I really enjoyed the Caesar salad, fried mozzarella sticks (they practically melted in my mouth! 👍), and fresh orange juice at lunch. For dinner, I had salmon with a delicious sauce and a fresh vegetable salad. The omelet at breakfast was also excellent. I’m pretty picky about coffee because bad coffee can upset my stomach, but I really liked the coffee there! We had dinner with a beautiful view of the fountains and pools, and the sunset gave the main Villa Roma building a beautiful pink glow. The big dining room was lively and full of families and friends enjoying their evening. The waiters and waitresses were especially friendly and patient, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Everyone we met made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of. On Thursday, although it was a little rainy, we visited the indoor pool and whirlpool. Everything looked clean and well maintained, and we saw people swimming and relaxing in the pool area. We also checked out the game room with arcade games, pool tables, and ping pong, as well as the large gym. On Friday, the weather was beautiful, and all three outdoor pools were full of families, friends, and students enjoying their vacation. There were also family activities such as bingo and crafts. The Villa Roma shuttle was another great convenience. Whenever we stepped outside, there seemed to be a bus ready to take us where we needed to go, and the drivers were very friendly. One of the nicest parts of the visit was talking with a timeshare owner who has been coming to Villa Roma for about 20 years. He was genuinely happy to be there and spoke very positively about the place. It was nice to see how much he still enjoys coming back after so many years. Overall, we had a wonderful two days at Villa Roma. Great food, a clean and comfortable room, beautiful grounds, lots of activities, and genuinely warm and friendly people made our stay very enjoyable. We’re very glad we got to experience Villa Roma and hope to come back again!

Rating: 0/5 Stars This place is completely decrepit, old, and beat down. The second you walk into the lobby, you are hit with stained, disgusting furniture that smells exactly like my grandma‘s house did when I was a kid. It is completely repulsive. The service is nonexistent. At check-in, the staff didn't even bother to tell us where our rooms were. When we finally found the room, we realized the security is a joke. The door has a key card lock and a deadbolt, but the card lock didn't even work. They just handed us a manual key to the deadbolt because that was the only way to get the door to actually shut and lock. The room itself was a disaster. The windows are cheap, single-pane glass that constantly sweat and dripped condensation everywhere because it was warm outside and we had the AC running. The walls were horribly patched over with texture that didn't even match the rest of the wall. The bathroom felt like a time capsule from hell with an ancient, old-school heat lamp in the ceiling. The plumbing is completely shot. I could literally pee harder than the shower pushed water out. To make it worse, when my wife was taking a shower, I flushed the toilet and the water immediately went freezing cold on her. Everything here is broken and neglected. The so called game room still has shag carpet on the walls! The pond that is supposed to have bumper boats was completely covered in thick pond scum. The boats weren't even running, and two of them were just sitting there deflated. We went to the pool area and I tried to get a frozen drink at the pool bar, but surprise, surprise—their machines weren't working. Then we paid money to use the bowling facilities, and two different lanes shut down on us while we were trying to play. To top it off, the staff completely disappeared for multiple minutes at a time while we were stranded at the lanes. They still refused to give us our money back, so we just gave up and left. They happily steal your cash and give you completely broken amenities. We stayed for two nights and I would never step foot here again. I completely overpaid for a place I would equate to a roach-motel Motel 6. I am terribly pissed off. I wouldn’t stay here if I was homeless. Absolute garbage.
